Always wanted to learn how to knit? This is the class series for you! We will teach you the basics and get you ready for more advanced classes. We can discuss English vs. Continental styles and which might be better for you.
This is a series of four classes. In class one, you will learn to cast on and knit, and learn how to pair needle size with yarn. In class two, You will learn increasing and decreasing as we start the cowl. In class 3, you will continue knitting the cowl and learn how to fix mistakes, a very handy skill! In class 4, we will finish our projects, and learn how to seam them. I will demonstrate how to wash and block them for best results.

This beginning knitting class is meant for brand new knitters, struggling knitters, or those with some experience. If you already know how to cast on, knit, purl, and bind off, you may like to join the next series.

Cost: $50 for 4 sessions plus $15 materials fee.

Materials: I will supply yarn and knitting needles for your 1st project. For the cowl, I will have kits available for you to purchase, or you can bring your own yarn from home. If you think you already have materials - bring them to the first class so we can make sure they are correct for this class. It's also helpful, but not required to have scissors, a darning needle and tape measure.
Experience Needed: None! Children ages 12+ are welcome in this class with a registered parent
